Thank you for playing and recording your first experience of the game. I was giggling through the whole video, and your reaction was just like I thought it would be.
Now, to clear up some of my design decisions.
First things first, don't really look into the story all that much, there is no story. I just had to make some stuff up (which happened to be really laughable and cheesy), and that Marko scene was supposed to be an easy puzzle, and that monster was made just so it exsisted and had something to "scare" the player.
Sounds. The reason they sound muffled or echoey or whatever, is because they are all 8 bit, made in Bfxr and this game was really the first time I actually had to do proper sound work, and I don't really know the perfect sound code.
Lights. So I wanted to have multiple light states because for example if you wanted to explore the surroundings and stuff like that, you would use the wide light, and if you wanted to see into the distance, to see if anything dangerous was lurking, you would use the narrow light, and of course, the light would change how the creature reacts.
Also, I am planning on improving this game as much as I can, as it is the first and the best horror game I have created, and if you are able to, be sure to check the game out in a month or less, and then maybe you can make another video on it :)
